Case study

Giving a mission a face

Summary

As the brand and web designer, I shaped RhizoSource end to end, from naming brief to logo, palette, type, and the live site. The work was turning a sustainability mission into something a buyer recognizes before reading a word.

Overview

Rooted in origin

RhizoSource is a cacao sourcing brand built on a single belief: that a supply chain can be honest, traceable, and worth trusting. It connects the farmers who grow cacao with the companies who buy it, and it does so in the open.

The name comes from the root, the place all growth begins, and the identity grows outward from there. Every part of it, the living mark, the colors drawn from soil and cocoa, the calm and confident type, works to make one promise visible before a word is read: cacao you can follow all the way back to where it started.

Reflection

Branding is translation

You take what a company believes and turn it into a shape, a color, a word people recognize without being told. RhizoSource is that belief made visible: a mark you can read, a palette drawn from the ground it grows in, a promise you can trace back to the source.
